谈高中英语中强调句的教授方法

高中教科书及练习题中强调句出现的特别多,在高考题中也时有出现。它的实用性强,易与其它句型相结合。而学生在训练中只掌握了强调句的基本句型,对其变式及活用却掌握甚少。为使学生真正理解和运用强调句,教师可按以下步骤对其进行讲解。

一、介绍强调句的基本概念

强调句是强调句子的某一部分(通常是主语、宾语或状语),人们用强调句来表达自己的意愿或情感。如:We met him at the school gate yesterday.

→ It was we who/ that met him at the school gate yesterday.

→It was him who/ that we met at the school gate yesterday.

→It was at the school gate that we met him yesterday.

→It was yesterday that we met him at the school gate.

强调句的一般疑问句和特殊疑问句形式:一般疑问句——Is/ Was it + 被强调部分+ that/ who…;特殊疑问句——特殊疑问词+ is/ was it + that…

二、关于强调句的几个问题

1.连接词的使用

若被强调部分是人则可使用that/who;若强调的是其它部分则一律用that。

2.若强调部分为人,连接词后的谓语动词要与被强调部分保持人称和数的一致。

三、进行几个题组训练

1.填that

对强调句的考察一般以填that为主,通过几个陈述句,一般疑问句及特殊疑问句的呈现,让学生进一步感知强调句的构成。

2.填it

对强调句的考察偶尔填it。通过此组训练加深学生对强调句的理解,判断强调句的方式是把it be与that去掉看句子是否还完整,若完整就是强调句。

3.强调句与从句的连用

强调句常与定语从句连用,而此种情况一般第一个空为定语从句,第二个空为强调句。强调句也会与名词性从句连用。如The question is whom it is that we can turn to for help.

4.看似强调句,但并非强调句

从句式上看有些句子很像强调句,但仔细分析则有可能是定语从句或状语从句或其它。

(1)What time did you come back yesterday?

—It was 11 o’clock I arrived home.

A before B that C when D until

(2)Where did you get to know her?

—It was on the farm we worked.

A that B there C which D where

(3)(2011福建)It was April 29,2011 Prince William and Kate Middle-ton walked into the palace hall of the wedding ceremony.

(4)How long is it we last spent the holiday in the country together?

A before B when C since D that

(5)试比较:It was at midnight I got back home yesterday.

It was midnight I got back home yesterday.

(6)试比较:It was two years ago I began to learn English.

It was two years I began to learn English.

(7)试比较:It was two years he came back from abroad.

It was two years later he came back from abroad.

(他两年以后回国)

5.对not…until…这个句型进行强调

句型为:It is/was not until….that…碰到该句型要进行判断时要把否定词not还原到主句中。

6.强调句的特殊疑问句形式

强调句的特殊疑问句形式常放在动词后作该动词的宾语,此时强调句的特殊疑问句形式要用陈述句语序。
